Kish is a band from Coventry who've gigged alongside acts like Pyramid Park and Speak, Brother and who've now released their debut single. The song portrays someone in mental and emotional turmoil who is reaching out to God to find healing. Lead singer Anne Leonard has an effecting voice, and the arrangement - a synth wash and occasion interjections of grunge guitar - works well. And there's even a trumpet solo! Not the kind of thing that works well on radio but as the first release from a new band, this single is impressive.
