Keith, as we now know, is a fresh faced young man from the US of A. With the release of his This Side Of Heaven' debut, Star Song Communications worked very hard and spent SERIOUS money to elevate him into the upper echelons of CCM stardom. This is part of their efforts, the company bringing a video crew in to the Flevo festival, made sure it had one of those gizmos which swept back and forth across the audience and did everything they could to pump up the hype. So why does this vid leave the viewer less than convinced that the new Michael W Smith has arrived? Well, for a start the crowd is considerably less than the 12,000 claimed on the sleeve and despite Keith's endless hectoring don't get particularly involved. Secondly, the songs despite all the formulae one normally associates with catchy synth pop simply don't catch too often. All in all a rather flat vid, despite all the effort and expense.

I recently acquired this very rare and hard to find vhs
concert of a short lived artist in the ccm field.
I believe this is quite an edited version of the original
concert performance considering the short list of songs.
Released the year after his debut cd in the Spring of 1993.
It includes the 1995 song "Creation Hymn" from his 2nd and
last ccm recording. It's a great addition to the short
concert film. Keith belts out title song of his debut cd
"This Side of Heaven" with bgvs supplied by same guy who
sings on his cd, Michael Mellet. "Unto Us" is superbly
performed wtg Keith. I missed not seeing him perfom the
highly acclaimed hit "Psalm 100".
Anyone have updated info on what Keith is doing these days?
Is he still playing keyboards and singing somewhere? GOD
Bless, Don

Keith is a personal friend, yes he is alive and well.
He is songwriting back in Nashville, writing for Faith Hill,
Keith Urban and such artists. He is a legend !
