This is pop with a difference. It doesn't just pop along either. It's jazzy, bluesy, funky and whatever else you fancy throwing into the musical melting pot. KRY have been around, it seems. Lead singer Gill lists as one of her credits supporting Julian Cleary in a'comedy duo called The Bohemian Brothers. Hope it doesn't ruin the image (her's, not Cleary's!). Bizarre! Her voice reminds me of All About Eve - breathy, ethereal and laid back. Standouts to squint at include "Guilty" (great rhythm) and "Station Starlight". Throughout there's some top drumming which appeals to my percussive nature. On "Supernatural Love" is the delicious, lazy sound of brushes on cymbals - it's late night, cop-out music. Seductive guitars, a gorgeous flute and drum intro on "Your Ocean" and crisp production throughout. I love it! Worth trying your damdest to get hold of this seven-song gem.
