From the first chord you get a sense of the earthy and passionate nature of this worship collective from the Jesus Worldwide church family from Orange County, California. They describe themselves as a church of missionaries and the focus of these 10 live songs is to replicate their worship through rootsy and heartfelt music. "You're So Beautiful" encapsulates this desire in its emotion while "It's OK, It's Alright" is a beautifully crafted acoustic number. Some of the songs like "I Need Your Love" are a bit maudlin but the standout is the up-tempo "Holy Ghost Anthem" even though it sounds uncannily like "Let Her Go" by Passenger, nonetheless it triumphantly declares "Even if they put me in the fire/Even if they hang me by my neck/Still I won't let my voice grow quiet/I will sing your praises till the end." Two songs, "Legions Of Angels" and "Let Me Be The One" unusually espouse the second coming. This is a set which grows and grows on the listener and is well worth checking out.
