"She sounds like Alanis Morisette" was the vote from my non-Christian "hip" friend and she's not far wrong though I must say I prefer Jennifer's less ascerbic voice. A wonderful, cleverly crafted album that is, I'm pleased to say, uncompromising in both its contemporary and lyrical content. www.jenniferknapp.com will give you some idea of the following this young guitarist has, there's also a video mpeg and very favourable People magazine review. Her fans rave about her love, ability and contact - she often visits the message board on her site and will stay after each gig to chat. This is certainly an album with credibility. Having chatted to her web fans at length it's surprising to see the age group that respond with praise - as young as 11 through to those in middle age. "You Answer Me" and "Peace" are classics. "You Answer Me" spoke confirmatory volumes in a real time of prayer in my car on the way to the office and will certainly not leave the stereo for some time. My verdict? Excellent, well worth a play and a privilege to listen to.
