Country gospel husband and wife team Jeff & Sheri Easter have chosen to celebrate 25 years of marriage by releasing a two disc 25 song retrospective of virtually every love song they have ever recorded. If you can get past the odd country cliché and the inevitable sentimentality, this is an enjoyable piece of work from the Dove Award-winning couple that seeks to promote and honour a God-instigated institution that more than often finds itself sidelined in today's ungodly culture. Whilst there is a definite hint of saccharine romanticism in this collection, the Easters refuse to shy away from the struggles and challenges that they as a married couple have faced and will face throughout the years. For example, "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane" charts the ups and downs of love from youth to old age whilst "When You Are Old" is a genuinely touching look to the twilight years to come. Elsewhere, the likes of "I've Got A Love" and "You're My Best Friend" communicate the essential three cord relationship between husband, wife and God and the Easters thereby succeed in not only evangelising about matrimony but also their Saviour. Highlights include the superbly written and executed "Falling In Love (With You)" and a considered rendition of the old Chicago hit "You're The Inspiration". Only a version of "Higher And Higher", which only serves to take all the urgency out of the Jackie Wilson classic, and some sickly sweet yuletide songs let the side down. But otherwise this is a fine release from one southern gospel's most enduring duos.

Award-winning trio Jeff & Sheri Easter celebrate 25 years of marriage with this Silver Anniversary collection.

They have included a love song on most of their recordings and now all of those songs are available on this 25-song collection, including a bonus CD (Ever Faithful To You) that marked their 10-year anniversary.

In addition, the group, now joined by daughter Morgan and son Madison Easter, have recorded two brand new songs, including the popular country hit For Ever And Ever Amen.

For fans, Silver Anniversary is a walk down memory lane as they followed Jeff (formerly of The Easter Brothers) and Sheri (formerly of The Lewis Family) into marriage, parenthood and a thriving music ministry that has made them Grammy nominees, Dove award winners and Homecoming Tour and video mainstays.

For Jeff and Sheri, the recording is a reminder of their rich and full lives together and of God’s abundant blessings and a lot of love.
