Eternal Funk seems to be doing a good job of collecting together some very cool music. This album is produced by T-Boy who's making a bit of a name for himself and also features contributions from my current fave R&B boy, Tonex. Consequently it perhaps won't surprise you to hear that his is a pretty cool album with plenty of those funky phat grooves, soulful vocals and then Jaz herself doing her stuff. You may already know Jaz from her work with Unity Klan who paid these shores a visit in the summer, and let loose on her own, she's out there making some cool music. So you get the funky up tempo groove of "No Doubt" vying for attention with the fun "Crank" complete with its Austin Powers-style contributions! "Bring The Swing" has a wonderful haunting string sample added to an insistent beat and plenty of other stuff packing up the mix. The futuristic "20/20" sits next to the understated funk groove of the hard hitting "Spirit vs. Flesh". Plenty of attitude throughout and loads of talent.
