Cross Rhythms seem to be carrying on a one man campaign to get recognition for Jag. First we eulogised The Longest Road' (many months after release it has to be said) yet too late to save if from a miserable UK sale. Now it seems our enthusiasm has persuaded Word (UK) that they should give the band a second chance and release The Only World In Town' here. CR are going to continue to do their part, expect a Jag feature in the future. Jag is a near perfect blend of contemporary rock elements, a four piece who bring the power chords, eery synths and edgy vocals and stir them into a brew which comes up tasting like new wine. Focal point is lead vocalist/songwriter John 'Jag' Garland who writes the most literate CCM songs you've heard for many a day. My recommendations are the opener with a muscular mid tempo singalong "Hands Up In The Air" and the epic, building "Sense Of Wonder". Thought provoking Christian rock, definitely not to be overlooked.
