Without wishing to sound like Simon Cowell, one of the best things about 'New Beginnings' is that it's only four tracks long. I know that sounds a bit harsh and a couple of the songs are not too bad, but when you compare them to other Christian bands out there - well, it's bit like comparing a Vauxhall Astra to a Ferrari. Admittedly, the Baron family, who hail from Cleveland, Ohio, have not got the resources to aspire to the likes of Delirious? and the flat production shows. The songs themselves range from a '50s style doo wop ("But Why Do You Love Me?") to Fleetwood Mac ("The Better Thing"). One of the songs, "Be My Life", has some nice percussion at the end, but the rest of the tracks struggle to make any impact.
