Reviewed by Trevor Kirk You may remember Ian Scott better as Ian Stott, lead singer and songwriter for seminal West Midlands Christian AOR team After The Fall. Since ATF finally called it a day a couple of years back, Ian has been out in the big bad world on the tribute circuit, doing his Stars In Your Eyes thing as Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison or even (very occasionally) Elvis or Cliff (see CR47). This CD runs through his tribute repertoire, and I had great fun working out who Ian was on each track, as well as hearing again some of the great pop songs of the '60s and 70s - "Till", "Lean On Me", "Miss You Nights", "Forever In Blue Jeans", "Thunderball", "It's Not Unusual", "Air That I Breathe". One of his own songs does get a look in; "The Hands Of Love" is a simple voice and acoustic guitar song dedicated to the King Of Kings, and some of the old ATF sense of humour surfaces on the warning in the sleevenotes that prohibits unauthorised copying, public performances, broadcasting, hiring or rental, or use as a frisbee!
