I Am I Am are an established band from Seattle who are in great demand at colleges, in the States. I can see why. 'Kickin' The Sky' reveals their talent with some very light rock with a dreamy relaxing country feel. My only criticism being that they may have been a little too relaxing. These tracks have the sort of lyrical depth that I love. Though most of these songs are not overtly biblical I found that they contained poignant reflections on life echoing God's wisdom. In their own ways, most of these songs raise issues close to the heart of all us who feel their life passing them by. For example,' I was impressed with the track "HIV" that tells of the feelings of a man who's just tested positive. Also these songs very cleverly portray the mundane aspects of life without being boring. They made me feel, well what is it all about then anyway? These are the sort of songs that I feel can speak deeply to people's hearts whether they are Christians or not. But don't let anyone say that I Am I Am do not put the gospel over, as the slightly heavier final truck gives us some of the
