This is as far as I know the first CD that Higher Ground have produced and in a few ways it does show. On the good side all of the songs are new, not revamped versions of old classics which seems to be a small but growing trend at the moment. It is also very much a family affair with just about every member of the Tardif family singing or playing something, The Family Von Tardif so to speak. On the down side unfortunately there is this quite irritating naff electric keyboard sound which the group seem to use in many of the tracks. Which as far as I'm concerned don't do any of those songs justice at all. Also if you were to use this album as background music you would be forgiven for thinking that you had been listening to the same song over and over again as it does have a bit of a sameish feel to most of the tracks. Basically, this album is "nice" but I don't think that it is going to fair particularly well in the already large privately recorded market.
