The label "Milk & Honey" was basically just starting to take
off for ccm. I had heard ccm radio play the album opener, "I
AM"; what a fantastic song to start the 80's era! I love
the song immensely! Great songwriting, well crafted; written
by group member Wayne Hilliard and now top CCM artist
Michael W. Smith (unknown at the time in ccm). I was kinda
surprised that Michael did not play keyboards for the song,
instead Dony McGuire. This trio of guys really bring a nice
quality of sound to the ccm genre. I really like "The Rock"
and side 1 ender, "I Can't See Me Servin' Nobody But
JESUS"; nice peppy song, a feel good song:btw the song was
written by 2 husband and wife teams, Gary & Karen Paxton
with Bill & Gloria Gaither. Top ccm songwriter Gary Chapman
provides the trio with "Speak His Name" great composition.
Side 2 ends with a beautiful worship song "JESUS Is LORD of
All"; supplied by well known writers Bill & Gloria Gaither:
a perfect closer. Many thanx to Crossrhthms for adding this
classic album. GOD Bless! -Don
