This single runs off the back of the highly successful Guns Amnesty tour with urban youth charity XLP. "Gunz Down" is a mighty fine slice of hip-hop. With their award-winning experience and finely-tuned vocal talent is it not surprising that this single has hit home to its target youth audience. The original mix is a stormer, combining clear lyrics and chunky production. There is an unnecessary mellow "BentLAB Mix", but this is made up for by the "Boylan D'n'B Mix" - an unstoppable grimy rhythm sure to shake any sub-woofer. Quality! And if that wasn't enough, there is an exceptional animated video (gaining airplay on MTV Base) and also some fun documentary footage of the tour. An excellent addition to the growing pile of UK Christian hip-hop gems.
