A new band from Huddersfield delivering their debut EP with a fresh sound that demands attention from the first note. This is funky rock’n’roll with plenty of guitar and groovy rhythms and the incredible vocals of Shireen. “Killing Me” slayed me with its unforgettable hook lines and funk grooves. “Read The News” is a wonderful vibey aural soup of phased vocals and guitars gliding across a drum loop. Just wonderful and a bit reminiscent of late Beatles! “Near To You” is more laid back with a jazzy bass line over which the vocals of Paul Cooper and Shireen blend and interweave. The catchy “Anytime” explodes with some acidic wah wah guitar and is propelled by the funkiest of bass riffs and rock steady drumming whilst the isolation of “Lonely” is captured in the plaintive vocal performance whilst another drum loop and some percussive acoustic guitar sets things up. Overall Glass combine some imaginative production with a range of influences to create a near perfect debut. “Slightly Pink” has me painting the town red celebrating a bold new sound!
