With the disappearance of Joe English (whatever happened to Joe?) I've been waiting a while for Christendom to throw up another exceptional singer/drummer. He arrives in the person of Gary Thomas Albright who isn't a newcomer at all, he's had 20 years in front of the kit, but now, after gigging with Bay area metal team Chumbi got himself saved and now offers this thoroughly engaging pop-rock gospel album. GT is an excellent, expressive singer, a superb drummer and gets together some seriously tasty musos here. Catch Vernon Black of Mariah Carey's Band playing hot guitar licks on "Straight And Narrow Way". There are jazz-style numbers "Holding You Tight" and "Listening To The News" and plenty of powerhouse rocking. Lacking focus maybe but GT's joyful faith and musical chops shine through. Worth writing off for.
