Few Left Standing, out of Memphis, TN, USA, were formed in the summer of 1998. They are Jason Lancaster (guitar), Chris Stafford (vocals), Aaron Winter (bass) and Jon Keegin (drums). If you like your metal raw, edgy and hardcore this may well be the album for you. In the style of bands like Pantera and Sepultura, this album doesn't seem to break into any new ground. However, it is tight and well-rounded, with even an ironic nod to its Memphis heritage. The lyrics are groaned, rather than sung, which is pretty much the form with the hardcore scene; but there were some moments of almost gentle sensitivity at times. Especially in "Give Credit Where Credit Is Due" - best song on the album. This is one of those albums that you don't necessarily get into at once. I would recommend you visit their website and check out the audio section for samples.
