This is straight punk/pop rock. It's good quality throughout and well played. The bass drives it along nicely and the guitars are full, but not too scratchy. Singer Scott Silletta (of Plankeye fame) keeps the vocals in order and there are some good harmonies and background vocals too. All in all it is accessible and well produced, a consistent quality throughout. And yet therein lies its one weakness: there is nothing ultimately outstanding on this album. There aren't enough peaks and troughs. Having said that, Fanmail have spiced this album up with the occasional use of samples, spinning and scratching and have included a Backstreet Boys cover (!?). There is also a fitting tribute song devoted to the late artist and producer Gene Eugene. If you can't get enough of punk/pop this is a good album to add to your collection, but not outstanding.
