Eve Selis is a name I must confess I’ve not heard of before; she lives in San Diego, California, and this album is nearly 52 minutes of music written by Eve and her producer Marc Intravaia. Stylistically, it’s country-meets-pop; in fact it reminds me of Kim Hill’s ‘So Far So Good’ from a few years back. The Saviour’s name is never mentioned, although it’s obvious that her worldview is a Christian one, and whilst it’s a good example of the genre, there’s nothing that makes it stand out from the work of many other lady country/pop singers, both Christian and mainstream. That have been said, it’s well sung, well written, well played and well produced, so if country/pop is your bag, you’ll not be disappointed by the quality.
