For years now Eric Black has been a pioneering figure in Northern Ireland's flourishing religious music scene, recording and marketing cassette albums by dozens of traditional vocalists and choirs as well as producing numerous albums by himself. His style is happy, simple country gospel, the best songs covers like Lester Flatt and Earl Scrugg's "He Took Your Place" and Erv Lewis' "Here Comes That Joy Again" and his music is inspiring, if you enjoy the forte.

Was Eric Black’s father named Eric Black too? Many years
ago we had revival at our church and an Eric Black from
Ireland came and sang . He was wonderful!! I keep trying to
find out how to get any of his music. That was in the early
80’s maybe later 70’s not sure which. Shalom was the
company on the albums.
