A live worship project from a Kansas-based singer/songwriter, produced with considerable technical skill by Kyle Lee. The songs exude faith and the fine vocals from Kansas-based songwriter Smith are delivered with conviction. I did however yearn for something that would make this album stand out from the bunch in a very crowded market, or a killer song that would lift the whole album but I'm not sure I found it. A few songs started off promising but the heavy percussion and wall of sound was added after some reflective openings. I wished the drummer, effective and skilled as he was, had been given a rest for a track or two. Yes, I know it's rock-orientated modern worship but more variety would have helped. Having said that, I really liked "Come Rushing In", especially the distinctive opening - it will make a worthy addition to my collection of Holy Spirit songs - "Let the Spirit of the Lord come rushing in/Overwhelm my heart again." The harmonies on this song are particularly good. The title track is a vibrant wakeup call - "Can you hear the dry bones shake?" - and "Home" is an intriguing song about Heaven, with ideas worth exploring several times, though I'm still wondering about the opening lines - "It doesn't feel safe here/But it's always good."
