The kings of corn (our transatlantic cousins) strike again, it's not meant as a sweeping generalisation but when they are corny boy they do it in style! This recording consists of instrumental medleys with natural sounds overdubbed (sea, wind, water etc.) which rather than working together tend to be mutually distracting. I was affected by the recording in that it gave me an overwhelming desire to go to the loo halfway through and I had a good laugh as the soporific piano was punctuated with an occasional thunderclap! Dino's playing is fine - expressive and well phrased but even the best playing can be let down - as here by lightweight arrangements and innocuous chord changes that have nothing to commend them. Songs like "Only Trust Him", "People Need The Lord" and "Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus" are not the melodies decent instrumental are made of. Creation does have its own music but this recording does nothing to demonstrate it or enhance it.
