The first CD from Debi J McMurry, a worship leader and songwriter who hails from Springfield, Missouri. The 17 tracks are performed by three different "worship teams" which certainly adds to the variety of styles to be heard ranging from the hint of country on "Let This Be Our Cry" to the '30s dance band sound on "Good Good Day". Overall the album has the spontaneous "sound" of a good worship group, but suffers from over fussy production, seen most obviously on "The Sun Shines Today" and the rather staccato delivery of "Hunger And Thirst". Having said that there are some good songs here. "Let This Be Our Cry", combines sound spiritual longings with a good hook, and a nice bit of mandolin too. "It's You Jesus" takes the realities of life and shows a way forward focusing on Jesus. "I'm In Love With You" is an upbeat love song to the Lord, while "River Of Forgiveness" is a mellow alter call. The opener and title track is also a fine song, delivered in a mellow jazz style, it encapsulates what most of this album is about, getting deeper into God's love.
