Zewalk describes his music style as inspirational gospel with an R&B/jazz twist. The opening and closing tracks on this debut album have a definite jazz flavour but the album crosses several genres and is, broadly speaking, quietly worshipful. "Like You Do" is a contemplative admission of human failure and sovereign mercy, set to a simple but powerful classical string and piano arrangement; this is a highlight of the album and reflects Zewalk's musical craftsmanship (his background includes a stint as organist and choir musician in his native Oklahoma). While there is no denying Zewalk's talent and his passion is plain to see, the slightly over-ambitious "Praise" has a little too much going on to really compete with the softer numbers on this album. A particularly soulful rendition of "Amazing Grace" introduces a female gospel chorus and again, the beauty lies in the simplicity of the arrangement that focuses the listener's mind to Zewalk's primary aim; to praise and to inspire others to do the same.
