'Undeserving Grace' brings seven original tracks from a Doncaster-based worship leader, who has been writing songs since he was 16. "I Know" opens the album with a rock guitar line followed by "Lazarus", a well crafted ballad exploring the biblical account of Lazarus. Two more ballads follow, "Did You See", exploring the physical cost of the crucifixion, and "Undeserving Grace", looking at the grace we received but did not deserve. The tempo picks up a bit for "You Are Wonderful", delving into the character of God before changing completely for two almost country and western tracks "I'm Rejoicing" and "Showered In The Spirit" which seem to take a light hearted look at living for God - if it is not light hearted then it is seriously cheesy. Unfortunately the songwriting talents are heavily overshadowed by the poor production which results in a dull, almost lifeless recording with occasionally flat vocals, almost-missing drums and overpowering bass lines. Colin's songwriting talent deserves a much better recording than this.
