It appears that musically the airwaves are saturated with R&B sounds often with lyrics best described as unwholesome. Here a Cincinnati based minister offers a radical alternative with a 15-track disc based on the Epistles of John. After track 1, a prayer, the CD takes a while to pick up choosing a gentle pace. But some quality music soon shows through. "Isaiah 26:3" is wonderfully catchy (plus a great way to remember Scripture.) However, it's not really until we reach track eight with "Everlasting Life" that the tempo picks up. Stylistically, it is clear, that Christopher's influences include Kirk Franklin ("Can't Give Up"), and more traditional artists like Fred Hammond or Donnie McClurkin ("Without You" and "Jesus Is The Reason"). There is only one weak track "Cause I Believe" which sounds musically dated with a slightly retro eighties feel. A good album overall though.
