Moved at a young age by hearing church congregations united under one voice of worship, Chris Tomlin now finds himself on the world stage of Christian worship music. In his 10th album release the Texan continues to search for fresh ways to help the Church express their worship to God. The title track is inspired by the picture Revelation paints of every tribe, every nation in every tongue singing in a loud voice "worthy is the lamb, holy is the Lord almighty." This latest release might not contain a song of the calibre of "Good Good Father" or "How Great Is Our God", nevertheless, there are still plenty of numbers that could slot straight in to your worship team's Sunday morning setlist or bless you on your drive to church. "Goodness, Love And Mercy", lyrically inspired by Psalm 23, rejoices in the future salvation that followers of Jesus all have to look forward to. There are a couple of exciting collaborations on this record with Nicole Serrano's vocals on "I Stand In Awe" a highlight of the record. The writing for "How Sweet It Is" featuring Pat Barrett is a tender love song to Jesus revealing the intimacy that is found when in relationship with him. Though it may not reach the dizzy heights of previous releases, 'Holy Roar' still gives plenty to offer for Christians young and old alike.
