The sleevenotes explain that this collection "combines well known worship songs with Euro-styled jazz, pop and R&B providing a musical ambience perfect for prayer, meditation and relaxation." Songs such as Martyn Layzell's "You Chose The Cross", "Light Of The World" by Tim Hughes and the Delirious? favourite "My Glorious" have been transformed into chill out versions that use occasional snippets of the original tune to a backdrop of ambient synths, late night sax and breathy vocals. In truth the end result is a bland collection of non-eventful tracks by anonymous artists. This may well succeed in helping you unwind after a busy day but the blurb's claim that this release will "renew the heart, body and soul" is a little far fetched.
