This album was one of the first Christian rock records. The category should be changed as it misleads people looking to discover rock albums like this. You can find a digitally re-mastered copy of their album for sale at Facebook (dot com)/thechristianbadfinger

Once called the first “New Wave” band in Christian music, the album is full of catchy licks, Beatle-style harmonies, jangling guitars and crunching tube amps. Sadly overlooked but talented group of musicians. “Standing At The Door” was a favourite worship song in our youth group in 1979.
Guitar whiz Al Perkins has had so many other great moments playing with the who’s-who of popular music – from the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Flying Burrito Bros, Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan… - that his input here might not seem to matter. It does matter, though, and this work stands as a well done piece of art.

I Like the comment about this being the Christian Badfinger. It is not country, per se, although that was Perkins' main forte. It was also not New Wave, but more of a late British Invasion. Released in 1979, it was the last year of the opening decade of Jesus Music. I know very little about the band themselves. In the picture, they all look older. A one off project from AP and some great session musicians? Unknown, but it has become and remains a staple until He returns.
