Once called the first “New Wave” band in Christian music, the album is full of catchy licks, Beatle-style harmonies, jangling guitars and crunching tube amps. Sadly overlooked but talented group of musicians. “Standing At The Door” was a favourite worship song in our youth group in 1979. Guitar whiz Al Perkins has had so many other great moments playing with the who’s-who of popular music – from the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Flying Burrito Bros, Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan… - that his input here might not seem to matter. It does matter, though, and this work stands as a well done piece of art.
