This recording is targeted at five-12 year olds which is a pretty wide target and there is something in here for all but it will mainly work with the little kids.  Those of you with children of your own or with a little kids’ ministry or, indeed, you worship leaders who are into including the kids in your Sunday morning service will do well to buy it.  Andy Gawn is a Rolf Harris sound-alike with a tremendous sense of fun and a real knack for communicating profound truths in a simple (but never simplistic) way.  Included are a few very danceable tunes like “You’re So Special To Him” and “God’s Got A Party”.  There’s also a great sing-along song, “If You Wanna Be First”, all about considering others, with Andy leading a choir of children.  “Christmas Wrap” and “The Lost Son” break down two major pieces of Scripture into bite-size chunks and “Donkey Song” talks about the triumphant ride into Jerusalem from the donkey’s point of view.  My favourite track is “I May Be Poor” which beautifully illustrates our total acceptability to God.  The songs are all copyright-free and £3.50 of each sale goes to Tear Fund for their work among the world’s poorest communities so whatever way you look at it, it’s a fiver well spent.
