I couldn't help but notice that in the bio material for this CD, Andrea Oldmixon is quoted as saying "I never want my singing to be about me." However, her CD is plastered with images of her, Darlene-like complete with sparkling grins and big coiffure. The album itself is not brilliantly produced, and Andrea's vocal takes reveal that, though she can clearly sing, they should have spent longer getting it right. None of the songs showcased here are original - there are only painfully twee covers of hymns like "Holy Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty" that, frankly, deserve better than this. Ghastly spoken word intros and a jazz-like version of Tim Hughes' "May The Words Of My Mouth" (inexplicably renamed "I Will Follow") simply don't work. Some people can walk the line between "artist" and "worship leader", others should be wary to attempt such a stunt unless there is a very real call to do so.

WOW!!!! I love this! The music is great and Jesus shines
through when I hear the lyrics. I'm not sure what the person
before me means, but this woman is a woman of God and it is
evident through her music. Heaven forbid she have a picture
of herself on her album, don't be so cynical, please! Keep
up the amazing work Andrea! I love the song "Power in the
blood!"
