The latest in the Alleluia Music series continues the smooth production of worship with functional arrangements, good singing and playing without ever really catching fire beyond the ordinary. This is a shame because the songs chosen are all good and I especially enjoyed the closing medley which melded the classics "Jesus Name Above All Names" and "Emmanuel", here beautifully presented by Leann Albrecht and producer Jeff Hamlin. An all too brief flicker of light amongst the dingy dark pedestrian gloom of ordinariness! Overall it's a shame because lots of time and energy has been put into this album along with others in the series but somehow I'm left with the nagging doubt that none of this is more than average. In the identity parade of worship albums, this one wouldn't be arrested for being interesting.
