Ewart Blake blends a nice Jamaican vibe with urban beats and Western composition structures. The lyrics are at times strong but on other occasions don't work well. do understand the reasons they use a lot of colloquial language though, which I presume is to relate to the language of text messages and the street that is often used these days. I found it somewhat patronising though. Without doubt the music (which is best when they keep it purely reggae) will have you tapping your foot and bobbing your head in time to the snare and bass. But overall, this is a patchy album.
