Kneeling is one of the main examples of how people are creative in their prayer towards God. You may think well that’s not very creative, but in fact there can be much meaning behind kneeling and Jesus Himself knelt when He prayed one of the hardest prayers of His life.
“…and He knelt down and prayed.” Luke 22: 41.
Kneeling down to pray is an act of submission and to kneel in prayer times can have a profound effect upon your heart and your prayers when done in a heart felt way.
In 1 Kings 18: 42 we see Elijah praying to God for rain after a time of great drought and in his earnestness and desperation the Bible says,
“…then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees.”
Therefore try kneeling or lying in prayer times, by being creative and not just sticking to the norm of sitting down I believe you will find significance in this action during your prayer times.
