Funky gospel man Calvin Simon announces retirement

THE ONE-time founder member of mainstream funk hitmakers Parliament/Funkadelic, Calvin Simon, who moved to gospel music and has a Cross Rhythms radio hit with "He's Coming Back", has announced his retirement from gospel music. Said Calvin,"I have enjoyed every aspect of my career as it created so many wonderful opportunities for me as a man and recording artist. I love creating music, but there comes a time when you want to pull back some and enjoy all the pleasures of life. I plan to play more golf, become more involved with area charities and spend more time with family and friends."
