Former assistant to Diddy, Pastor Jones releases debut gospel album.
A PASTOR who is the former vice president and A&R with Island Def
Jam and former assistant to hip-hop star Diddy, will soon be releasing
his first gospel album. 'Breathe Again' by Pastor Jones will be issued on RITW
Records/Malaco. Jones has worked with mainstream artists such as Mary
J Blige and Heavy D and served as executive producer for the
soundtracks to Rush Hour and The Nutty Professor movies. Pastor Jones spoke to
Christian Retailing magazine about his entry into gospel music. "The
response from my friends and co-workers was, 'You gotta be kidding
me.' They didn't understand why I would choose that kind of life. I
told them, 'I can be saved and still do my job.'" The new album
includes appearances by Jordan, Tonex and Verity recording artist
Debra Killings and features R&B, hip-hop and gospel sounds.
