Michael Card is a musical interpreter of scripture and also a fine teacher. In this video he combines the talent. The man is a gifted guitarist and pianist showcasing both here. He is ably backed by piano and cello on the acoustic numbers helping to fill out a limited soundscape. Songs like "Nazarene", "Jacobs Dream" are direct interpretation of scripture. "That's What Faith Must Be" and "That Is The Mystery" are more meditative and thought provoking. This is where the between songs Bible readings grated for me. The music speaks for itself and preaching only disturbed tie train of thought. On this showing Michael Card has a lot to offer the Christians in his songs. As a video though, there is little that cannot be gained from hearing the album. Listen to these recordings and learn: The video might make more sense then.

I have this front row concert video of Michael, I enjoyed it
immensely!I view it now and again. I have several of
Michael's vinyl lp's and several on cd. "That's What Faith
Must Be" alwayz a fave; and "Jubliee" also. I also have
him from the Billy Graham crusade years, singing
"El-Shaddai". There is definitely a difference in hearing
the music, and seeing it performed live. - GOD Bless! - Don
