I have been collecting the gospel music of old for many, many years. I have over a thousand pieces, not all gospel but my collection of gospel is a out standing collection. I have the Consolers greatest hits and a lot of the old singers on dvd .

Am looking for the music scores of the Consolers' songs; does anyone know if they were published? My library catalog does not list such a publication.
I am especially looking for May the Work That I Have Done.

Glad to see them being appreciated here :}

A must see vintage video of them performing here:

No trickery there, rest assured. Just an amazing glimpse back into history and a powerful, soulful song sung in harmonious joy for the love of the Lord.

I view a tribute to the Consolers on U Tube which bless me so much so i decided to google The Consolers and it lead me to this site. I was so impressed that this link was available and to share a little history about this great group, it was sad for me to learn of the death of Mrs. Paugh on this site but it was an answer to a question i had often asked in my mind what were they doing and it they still were singing and recording. I also grew up listening to the consolers and loved their music. I wonder if their music can be found anywhere on CD. The work they did in gospel music truly it speaking for them. In my home town a local funeral home had a Sunday morning show where their show would open with "May The Work I've Done Speak For Me" was the them song each week and when you heard that tune you knew it was time the Bentley Funeral Home Sunday Morning Gsopel Train Show. Lord each memory of the Paughs.

This was my Mother,s song she will sing this song out loud around the house. My sister lived in georgia she didn't like Florida. This is why my Mother sang for my sister living in Georgia.

I would love to get, "Children of God" and "Saul Saul". My mother and I would listen to these tunes by the Consolers, she has passed now. Getting these would be a wonderful thing for me.

WAITING FOR MY CHILD TO COME HOME

I was talking to a lady a few days ago, and these are the words she said...if you see my child somewhere as you journey here and there, tell him I'm waiting for my child to come home

I am waiting and waiting for my child to come ....I'm waiting and waiting for my child to come...if you can't come home will you please send me a letter, a letter would mean so much to me. yes it will

Lord my child may be somewhere on his sick bed Lord with no one there to rub his aching head...Oh yes Jesus

Lord my child in somewhere in some lonely jail Lord with no one there to post his bail, oh Lord..... listen if I only knew what town my child was in .... I'll be there on that early morning train, then no matter what's crime Lord you know this child is mine.... and I'm waiting for my child to come home.
