Back in the 70.s went to Filey Butlins. Until the camp closed There met David Pope John Daniels. Then MWE. Then the forming of Saltmine kept quiet interest. Lost touch with John when moved with his wife to Texas. He writes some great songs. I remember my last conversation with John would love his email. He hardly looks a day older looking at his photo.

Dave pope - great to be able to say well done on ur 5 decades of service as singer, songwriter & worshipper.
And apologies for this embarrassing 14 year old -now 54 who asked u at Filey if the Face to Face album cover was a photo of u trapped in a toilet? You were very gracious in ur response. Respect. God is faithful.

Hi Dave, hope you're well.
I'm trying to find a digital copy of "Do you believe he's coming". I always thought it was a great song & the arrangement on 'Writing on the wall'was great. I'd like to buy it - can you point me in the right direction please?
Phil - a fan

Dave your music still inspires me and has done since the teens and twenties holidays in the 70's. I just wish I could find your music on CD but have only my old LPs and tapes.
Still waters and take my life mean so much to me. Linda

I'm blessed to be in touch Dave!
I'm not that old but found your music in a shop and decided to get it without knowing who you were.
But I was blessed with that album.I played it for everyone to hear.
Sadly I lost it. Someone picked it from me.
I loved all the songs on there but my favourite is "we should be loving you "...how can I get them all. I live in Birmingham UK.

Hi Dave, in 1976 you came to the then LBC in Northwood for a concert. My friend and fellow student from Dudley, Maggie Gill, took my along and we both loved it. And: today I watched Charles Price´s EasterSunday Sermon in the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem and was thrilled to hear and see you again. I´d love to get in touch with you. How?
Greetings and blessings and so good to hear you are still going strong with the Lord. Rita

Hi All.
Just found this Blog. I have an Alethians Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/TheAlethians
The main reason for setting it up was to try and get some images from past gigs, esp. the Tear Fund Tours we did with Sir Cliff. But any photos from anywhere would be excellent. I'm sure there are loads out there... somewhere!
If anyone out there has some, could they either Post to the Facebook page maybe?
Of course, comments and memories would be great too!
Many thanks in advance...

Hello Dave,
Remember me from Joseph Leckie Ward Manor Hospital in 70s? You gave me your LP ....Writing on the Wall .
You were discharged on my day off...think Ward Sister had a few words for me on my return. Think you went back to Bristol.
Hope you are well and life been kind to you.
You just popped into my head recently....
Kind Regards,
Yvonne.
