Joined COGIC in 1970. Became a choir director and voice
coach. When I hear a promising soprano, I always mention Ms. Powell as a voice to listen to. Diction, artistry and presence has always been captivating. I am and has been a fan for years. The High Place has been my favorite.

Well i remember as a young child at my childhood church faith temple cogic chicago,iL when she would grace our church from time to time and sing for bishop goldberry at the time her bro in law was the pastor then she would sing when jesus come i would just mark her on the way home i just love her and also my prayers goes out to her and family in the loss of her nephew michael allen
