I too am in my forties, and I was seriously impressed by dweeb (both their behaviour and music) when I stumbled across the programme by accident on Tuesday night. I was also impressed by the impartiality of the BBC in showing not only the nudity scenes but the prayer scenes and soul-searching discussions with Suzanne as well. Thrilling and refreshing to see God's glory shining, keep it up guys, I'll be looking out for your music!

I can't help wondering why Chris Lazenby felt he had to "sit through the whole thing". If Dweeb could persuade themselves to leave the room I'm sure Chris could have closed his eyes for a few seconds, or nipped out to put the kettle on.

My wife and I were sooo impressed with Dweeb's witness during this programme - keep up the good work! It was a shame there was so many unsavoury images at the beginning (my wife acted as censor on my behalf!!!) - otherwise I would suggest that all young Christians watch this great example of being lights to the world.
With reference to the music, there were distinct differences between what Paparazzi Whore produced and what Dweeb played (Dweeb's quality was much higer to start with). Also, people at the gigs were very clear that there was a different "atmosphere". It would be a shame to criticise Dweeb's musical style as this was their main bridge with the other band, who obviously respected them for their abilities.
My question to Chris would be, if you didn't want to compromise you principles, why didn't you turn away. Dweeb didn't edit that TV programme, BBC3 did. You have control of your TV remote, if you don't want to see something, look away or turn over. But don't blame Dweeb.

Started watching the programme with my 13 year old son who's a dweeb fan at first shocked by the sheer courage of DWEEB half expecting to be gutted in case they did a Gareth (as in Gates) So we filtered out by changing channel for the innapropriate stuff at the begginning and saw it coming in the gig in the pub.. But wow I was so impressed by the band !!! Fantastic appologetics, even better witness I was humbled and I've been an Evangelist for 16 years.
But most of all I loved to see christians being salt and light among the sinners.. Well done guys keep living the dream...

In reply to Chris Lazenby BA "Also, although Dweeb could turn away from the porn band when they stripped, we, the viewers (whom they presumably wanted to watch the programme) had to sit through the whole thing"
I think that was probably the purpose of the program and not to show all sides would have been flawed. Nice to see all members of both groups gained something from the experience
With regards to the "the satanic stuff" it can only portray this via the words spoken in the song, nice to see the young lads tackling this musical genre and putting an alternative side

I disagree with Chris Lazenby (BA Cert HE Dip Mus)'s comments. It is not fair to blame on dweeb the bad decision of the producers to show the strippers. If they or Risen Records had any say that scene would have been cut out in an instant. As to the band's music being satanic or "of the world", I think if you meet them and attend their gig's I guarantee you'll think otherwise. They are some of the most humble and godly men in the ministry that i know.
I think Dweeb did us all proud last weekend...rock on.

Fantastic witness lads.
The love you showed was Amazing, just like the grace we all receive.
You took the risk of putting your lives and reputations on the line and we all were blessed; just like another group of folk two millenium ago.
May the Lord be with you. that's my prayer.
