We should not underestimate the peer pressure our children are constantly put under in state schools today. We need to ask ourselves is it wise to place our children in the mist of a playground of spiritual warfare without mature development of the spiritual armour need to protect their souls? Home school empowers us to steward these precious lives and develop their Godly character, fully equiping them to withstand the tests and trials of life. God has trusted me with the stewardship of my children and I know He will require an account of that when the time comes. Read Prov 22:6 & Eph 5:15-17.

I don't know what this article is doing on this website. It's full of sweeping generalisations - none of which can be applied to any of the Christians I know who work as teachers within the state school system. It also fails to take into account the excellent work done in schools by organisations such as The Message, etc. And can anyone explain to me how homes-schooling helps kids develop their athletic skills when they've got no classmates to compete against?

My observation of home-schooled children is that they are socially uneducated and miss out on developing many essential life-skills. How can Christians affect change in a world where they avoid interaction for fear of contamination? Or, do we believe that 'greater is he that is in the world than he that is in you?' How will kids in normal schools ever encounter Christ if Christian families huddle in their perfect Christian ghettos? America is suffering ever-increasing social division because of this unbiblical thinking. I hope we resist this nonsense in the UK.
