Comment:	I have to agree with the reviewer. This is a quite unusual version of the Messiah, my personal best being the performance of Emmanuelle Haim and her stunning Concert d'Astrée. This Messiah with it's small cast is refreshing, vivid and extremely musical, the band playing really first rate, not being second to any of the "big bands" of the HIP scene. Except for Miriam Feuersinger the soloists and the choir might not be god's musical wonder-weapons, but enthusiasm and excitement more than compensate, for what might be missing in 'Monteverdi-Choirism'. :-) Verdict: Very enjoyable and worth to supplement any Handel collection. Highly recommended!
