Claire, you point out that Jesus never talked about homosexuality, but he never talk about beastiality or paedophilia either, that docent mean he approved. Yes most Christians agree its about the sin and not the sinner, and we have a duty to forgive as we are forgiven. However, we also have a responsibility to abide by and teach God's Word. It it is irrelevant to consider 'changing times' - His Word is eternal on fundamental issues. The fact is the gay 'community' along with many other, are constantly seeking to push the boundaries of for their own agendas. What about the rights of the adopted child? If the government/gays etc have such moral fibre, why don't they propose making adultery illegal? It is also a fact that gay relationships are actually more fragile than hetersexual. We have a duty as a church to advise on His Word as it is written, and not when we 'feel' it needs updating.
