Comment:	Very sad belatedly to learn of Mr Laing-Reilly's death. He was one of our music teachers at James Gillespie's High School in the early 1980s and my piano tutor in Sixth Year, 1983-84 and, though later gained a post at Edinburgh University, continued to serve as an instrument tutor at the school and, I believe, until his death. He was a shy, gentle man of great patience and one of Scotland's greatest organists.
