Genetics: A Step Too Far?

You wonder what may happen "as reproduction moves to the laboratory." Your predictions seem based on science fiction, not science. By juxtaposing Michael Crichton with C.S. Lewis, you do not build a strong case for what we may expect in the future. I agree, there is much at stake, morally and spiritually. As a scientists I disagree with your statement that "science is largely cut off [from] theology." I recommend reading "The Language of God" by Dr. Francis Collins, head of the Human Genome Project and a man of faith. Genetics is a difficult issue with difficult decisions.
