I have to admit that there is just something very very special about this album from the alternative greats Daniel Amos. Terry Taylor has never once appeared to run out of steam, and here its like he's twisted the creativity knob round to 200 percent. For I dont usually call albums Beautiful unless I have good reason, and this album really is something very special indeed. There is no weak track on the album. Terry's skill at writing very deeply probing songs is always a joy to behold. Mr Beuchners dream never pauses for breath, never slips into repetitive mode, and Im not ashamed to say rather a lot of the tracks here brought tears to my eyes upon my very first listening of them! Yes, this album really is one of the very greatest Christian alternative albums of all time. "Beautiful Martyr" and "Steal Away" are simply wonderful songs. And yet the thing is that once again the album isnt overdone, the production is simple and direct, and wonderful to listen to. This album is now the best DA album, and where can they go from here? One thing Ive learnt from Mr Taylor and DA is that they have just have the easy knack of just getting better and better all the time...
