We once had exactly the same view as you. Until we were visited by sin, and our church and family crumbled. While it is still challenging in our humaness to understand, we are now much more merciful to those who fall prey to the schemes. Is a good example someone of perfection? Or someone willing to humble himself and submit to a rigourous restoration and accountability process? The measure of a man is not found in his mistakes, but in what he does after he makes them. That's my heart today... not 20 years ago. By some standards, I suppose when a man fails his family he should then be removed as leader of his home forever. May it never be. Love. Mercy. Grace. ... Accountability.
