Comment:	Thank you Cross Rhythms for highlighting the persecuted church. I have been on the Open Doors mailing list for quite some time. I've also been involved with Amnesty International. Amnesty interviewed a former torturer, and he said that if pressure was put on the government for the release of some prisoners, or for the stopping of torture, people in prison found their lives improving, their treatment in prison improving, or that they were released. The ex-torturer said that if people wrote to governments about conditions in prisons etc, the government stops torturing people.
